About me

Hello, I am Maite – a German who is Spanish at heart. I lived in Spain for several years, learning the language, and eventually calling it my second home.

I discovered my passion for languages and translation at an early age, particularly in my Latin, English, and French classes. Following my graduation, I added Spanish to my repertoire.

Studying Translation at Heidelberg University came naturally to me, I eventually moved on to a Master’s degree in Conference Interpreting, which allowed me to fully pursue my passion.

Services

I offer simultaneous and consecutive interpreting as well as sworn translation and interpretation services in the following language combinations: GER<> SPA, ENG > GER

Simultaneous Interpreting

The interpreter renders the message of a speech in the target language at the same time as it is uttered. This requires appropriate equipment and a team of at least two interpreters.

Possible occasions: lectures, conferences, press conferences, product presentations

Consecutive Interpreting

The interpreter listens to the speaker and takes notes, then renders the message in the target language afterwards. It takes a bit longer but only requires one interpreter for shorter meetings.

Possible occasions: small-scale negotiations, trade fairs

Sworn translation and interpretation services

As a sworn translator and interpreter for Spanish, I am licensed to accompany you to the notary, to court or to translate your official documents from Spanish into German and vice versa.

Written translations and proofreading

You want to have your English website translated into German and adapted to German conventions? You are a translator yourself and need someone to proofread your translation into German?
